Geometrid Announces Integration with Autodesk Construction Cloud to Simplify Supply Chain Monitoring

Easier supply chain monitoring and building element tracking is now on Autodesk Construction Cloud through Geometrid Partner Card

SINGAPORE, September 21, 2021 – Geometrid, a construction supply chain monitoring and element tracking software, today announced an integration with Autodesk Construction Cloud®, a portfolio of software and services that combines advanced technology, a builders network and predictive insights for construction teams.

Through this new integration, project teams will be able to monitor their supply network directly on their Project Home dashboards on Autodesk® Build or BIM 360®, alongside the context of building data and models.

By adding the Geometrid Partner Card, users can now enhance their monitoring and supply chain management across workflows and easily share that data with project stakeholders in Autodesk Build and BIM 360. Having access to all the information in one place, including that of element traceability facilitated by Geometrid, will enable stakeholders to be more efficient in delivering their projects by reducing time spent looking for project information and eliminating manual work on progress monitoring and reporting.

We will only be able to progress as an industry by enabling data interoperability between solutions and that’s what we are making another step towards with the Geometrid and Autodesk Construction Cloud integration today.

The central challenge for construction teams today is managing increasingly complex projects and workflows while simultaneously balancing constrained schedules, budgets, and labor. Geometrid addresses the challenge by empowering construction professionals with meaningful supply chain data down to every element, informing data-driven decisions and minimizing time and resource waste that results from poor coordination among project stakeholders. Connecting supply chain data to Autodesk Construction Cloud’s project management solution empowers teams with the information they need to drive more predictability and sustainability on projects.

Milos Jovanovic, CEO and Product Lead at Geometrid, announced the integration today and underlined its importance to the industry: “In a fragmented industry like construction, addressing issues at scale will take a bit more than mapping a set of solutions onto a set of burning problems. We will only be able to progress as an industry by enabling data interoperability between these solutions and that’s what we are making another step towards with the Geometrid and Autodesk Construction Cloud integration today.”

On that note, Geometrid’s CTO and Engineering Lead, Srdan Dordic, highlighted: “As part of our integration-first approach at Geometrid, we strive to remain open for easy interfacing with other solutions,” he said, “We found Autodesk products to be an exceptional example of a software design in line with our connectivity vision.”

“As the construction industry pursues more predictability and sustainability, supply chain visibility becomes increasingly important,” said James Cook head of integrations at Autodesk Construction Cloud. “The integration with Geometrid delivers that visibility alongside the wealth of building data teams centralize in Autodesk Build and BIM 360, and empowers team leaders to manage their projects with the latest supply chain information.”

About Geometrid

Geometrid is a software as a service that enables construction project stakeholders to achieve complete visibility across their supply chain. Building owners, developers, and contractors get real-time updates in an interactive BIM environment for element tracking, progress monitoring, analytics, and reporting, all within a web browser.

Getting up and running is quick and takes three easy steps: (1) Add BIM models, where each element gets assigned a unique QR code; (2) Add supply chain stages, highly customizable to client’s existing workflows; (3) Add users, to start getting instant status updates by a simple QR/RFID scan remotely.

Having always up-to-date progress information enables construction professionals to make strategic decisions and ensure the project is completed on time and within budget. Geometrid facilitates this by accounting for every element at every stage along the supply chain while eliminating manual work on project monitoring and reporting.
